The Club has an assortment of two seat and single seater gliders availale for use by Club members.
Two seat gliders are used for training and are arranged in tandem, with the instructor in the back and the pupil in the front, and both cockpits have linked controls. A pilot's first solo flight will be in one of our two seat K21's, before progressing to the single seat gliders.
As the name suggests, single seat gliders only accomodate one pilot, and are generally considered to be of greater performance to the training aircraft. They are often also more difficult to fly, and so a new solo pilot will spend time flying the two seaters before progressing onto the single seat gliders.
