The next date for Wednesday flying will be 9 May 12, as always subject to the weather and numbers attending. As flying can only go ahead if sufficient members, including winch drivers and instructors, can attend to operate safely could everyone planning to attend please announce their intention via the Forum so a call can be made in time to avoid nugatory travel.

I can not be at Wittering on 9 May, so a Full Cat as DI will be required. Grateful if any Full Cat volunteering to be DI could contact me in advance of the day.

Colin

The responses below from your/Pete/Ivor are the only one's I have received about flying tomorrow - the weather forecast may have acted as a disincentive from others declaring interest.

If flying goes ahead, and in light of comments made last week, could you contact ATC on x7050 to advise them the Club is operating. This is and never has been a formal requirement from Stn, but a short-term arrangement until the 'usual' ATC POC returns and we can find out what ATC are seeking.

I should be at Wittering on Saturday (irrespective of what the weather is doing)!

Understand completely. Although the forecasts were saying rain in my area, coming in from the south east (Wittering direction), was due to arrive at around 1600, it was very dark from late morning and has been raining continuously since around 1300.

Fingers crossed for next Wednesday.
