Hi all. I know i may not be the most prompt of people for paying my bills, although am in black at the present, however am a bit curious as to how the withdrawel of paper cheques this year is going to affect most peoples ease of payement.

If you mean the banks planning to withdraw chequebooks linked to bank accounts, then this is not planned until 2018. What is currently being phased out is the 'cheque guarantee card scheme' that is printed on your debit card.

As far as I know cheques will not be fully phased out until October 2018, and only then if appropriate alternatives have been developed.
I think we have a fair while before we can't take cheques. However, it may be worth investigating alternatives, otherwise we may go cash only

should we publish a list of the top ten worst offenders for money owed to the club for the rest of us to poke fun at?

we could balance that out by publishing the top 5 members who the club owe the most money to!
