AGM 2010 - VOTING-IN OF CIVILIAN ASSOCIATE MEMBERS

Postby ls7 » Tue Nov 23, 2010 3:38 pm

Dear Members,

Para 7a(4) of the 4 Counties Gliding Club Handbook requires us, at the AGM, to vote in any Associate Members who were not formerly Servicemen, namely the following:

Graham Benniston: Senior Regional Examiner.
John Bennett: Aircraft inspector, winch driver.
Michael Cunliffe-Lister: Membership Sec.
Peter Davey: Field Treasurer, winch driver.
Alex Eden: Bar, winch driver, and engineer.
James King: Winch driver, Field Treasurer, diesel engine specialist.
Shaun Mclauchlin: Cross-country coach and trainee tug driver.
Stephen Neeson: Ground Support Equipment mechanical engineer.
David Sharp: Full Cat and Flight Safety Officer.
Ray Weston: Full Cat.

I propose that we should deal with this at the AGM as a single block vote. Please let me know as soon as possible if you have any objections to this process, or to any individual on the list, or if I have missed anyone off the list.

Many Thanks,

Chris

I would guess that the LSUGC block membership would need voting in as well?

Chris

2 things. Ben is a life member of 4 counties, so doesn't need voting on and Ray is an ex - service Assistant Cat instructor

Thanks Colin, My sincere apologies to Ben and Ray.

Sam:

To give LSUGC some security of tenure, there is a Standing Letter of Agreement (LofA) between the 2 Clubs. It is currently signed by John Morris and myself to show 5 LSUGC members, but needs to be updated for 2011 to show 7 members, and signed by you and me. I will send you a copy for signature shortly.

Because this is a Standing Letter, and because the number of places allocated to LSUGC is within the authority of the Committee, we do not need to vote-in LSUGC at the AGM.

Regards,

Chris
