Try Gliding on Sunday 5th June (Chris Armstrong)

Postby stephenneeson07 » Thu Jun 02, 2011 1:49 pm

Hi Chris,

I have a cousin over from Switzerland this weekend and was wondering if he could try gliding, he is 15 or so(quite tall though). His mum will be here for consent, maybe i should get her to try it first. Anyway, I wondered what would be best? In the evening? Or during the day? Could you let me know, and roughly how much it would cost?

Thanks

Stephen

Hi Stephen,

In the absence of a definitive answer, I think it is £20 a trial lesson. I would expect Sunday afternoon to be better as there isn't any specific flying on Sunday evenings. 15 years old is fine and you are right he will need parental consent. Although at £20 for a go there isn't much reason for the family to have a go too!

The wind is looking brisk and has been a deciding feature recently- it currently looks OK, about 15knots NE'ly, but it would be worth keeping an eye on and checking on the day.

Cheers,
Shaun
